That's a great idea.... my Corsair II was modify exactly that way as suggested by one of the TenTec service technicians. Its an easy mod, just clip the + 12 VDC to one jack and tape the wire and the jack can be used for the 9 MHz IF out.

Been looking at all of these gripes about no extra holes  on the back of
the new Eagle, and wonder why one doesn't just use the two +12V  RCA
connectors that Ten-Tec supplies on the back of the rig and rewire them as desired.
Seems like that would be a lot easier and quicker than whining  about the
lack of spare connectors. How many mid-range transceivers have IF outputs
available externally, anyway?
