$1300 gets you an FT-950.
The Eagle's receiver is in a much higher league than that radio.
I guess we would all love an Eagle for $500 less but you just can't get that
much radio for that price.

I too stopped by the factory over Thanksgiving and tried the Eagle out and I

too was impressed with the radio.  It is a good radio but I think it is 
about $500.00 to high. Love my OrionII and my Jupiter. Still looking for a 
Paragon.
