I must respectfully disagree about the First Amendment aspect of amateur radio. 
That appears no where in the charter for our hobby. The government does indeed 
exercise sovereign control over the spectrum we use and amy terminate out 
activities for cause. In fact, within the regs, we are expressly forbidden to 
engage in certain communications. 

That said, I agree that FD is what each individual chooses to make of it. Life 
is too short to not have fun!
