Roger,
I'd go with PTFE (teflon) based grease. I haven't re-built a Ten-Tec PTO but I
have re-built boat anchor PTOs. Lithium grease dried up after a few years and
became an anti-lubricant. I was puzzled by this. Then I re-built a pinball
machine and hung out on those forums. Over there, lithium grease is famous for
drying up and is avoided for that reason. I bought some ptfe grease online but
have since seen it here and there. That's all I use now, teflon based grease
and oils. The stuff I use is called Super Lube So far, it's been super. I
bought mine on eBay but I think I saw some at the Home Despot the other day.
