Shoot - let's not forget our friends at ... you know... Ten-Tec... who sell a really good headset and it is a good value for the price. Apparently made with similar construction and parts as HEIL's latest Proset 6 - and apparently the same as sets by DataVid - you can be sure it will be durable and comfortable - as the other guys have based their success on it, also.

I recall JH of TT told us they selected their own mic and speaker elements - so parts is parts in some ways, but NOT in all ways - as the mic element is not the same as the other outfits sell. You can be sure it works well with TT radios as it was selected specifically to sound good thereon. Other TT mics sound good on TT rigs, and this one did also. I sold my example ONLY because I have so many others, and a TenTec maven wanted one, so I sold him mine at a discount, or else it would have remained in my stable.

The TenTec headset is super durable, plenty comfortable, and sounded really good on the air. It has a bit heavy clamping force, but that can be adjusted to suit your proclivities and predilections. Looks good too.

Yes... another good product from the Home Team.

I'm using one now and it works quite well. It requires +Bias
(electret mic), but that's generally not a problem with Ten-Tec rigs
