Andy - You ever bought a used car? If so, it was obsolete and at some time I bet you had to spend money to repair it.

The Orion II is still one of the best performing radios on the market today. Tentec does and is supporting it with new firmware and repair parts are available along with Factory Service. Is there any other ham radio company that does this for their discontinued products? Not that I'm aware.

By the way, if you choose not to keep an obsolete product, and I really don't think you should, I'll give you my shipping address and I'll even pay shipping charges.

Kim, can not understand why you would spend the money on a dead horse. The Oll is obsolete, I know I own one.Andy, W3LI

Kim, FYI I posted to this list about my lack of success using the RX366
9MHz output to drive LP-PAN (w preamp). I believe the VE7TK mod that adds
a Clifton Labs buffer amp to generate the 9MHz output will probably yield
much more satisfactory results.
