Palstar uses a 3 pin Foster plug on some of its products - virtually impossible to mess that up unless you are trying to force it in. No more dangerous than forcing an 8-pin foster plug on the front of the rig. The contacts are recessed inside the plastic/bakelite holder, so it would be difficult to make a mistake.
