 Looking at the EBAY listings for the interface this is the path from the
line out to pin 1.  (ASCII art schematic below)

Assuming the laptop is outputting LINE voltages (~.7RMS or 1Vpp into 600
ohms or 0.8mW).

The 2.2K resistor will change the impedance the laptop is seeing to 470 ish
ohms.  Assuming the Pout is constant, the Vrms the Omni is seeing should be
around 0.6V or 0.87Vpp at max volume level.

Can you verify that is true?
