That certainly makes it easy to use standard cables, or easy to make cables to connect ones amp, plus use the soundcard of their choice, plus use a foot switch, or a straight key. Everything is covered. Operators choice. Why fret over making cables? No reason to in my opinion.

The Model 318 has 2x 8-pin DIN jacks wired in parallel.
This enables you to connect the device itself to the Eagle, and still have
another 8-pin Jack available for any accessory you like.

It has a separate RCA Phono Jack for Amp Key (out to amp).
It also has yet another RCA Phono Jack connected to the PTT line, enabling
the use of a foot switch, straight key, keying signal from a computer,
whatever.

Seem to recall that Tentec has a "Y" type connector that will allow one to
use two devices such as a soundcard and amp keying line.

Also, seem to recall the amp keying accessory {318} has a 2nd DIN that
allows for amp keying delay plus a second accessory.

Might check with Paul in Service on this.

Thanks to everyone for the info on the Din (not mini-DIN) connector on
my Eagle. I guess it's symptomatic that I would think the connector is
smaller, since I'm older since I put one on!!

I took early advice, went on E-Bay and found the amp line custom built.
But I already have those pins connected on a crooked connector using
one of Mike's amp keyers, which incidentally, works like a charm. Hope
he can make them available again...

On eBay, I found a male two ended 8 pin DIN cable at a reasonable price.
It's on its way, and I can redo the amp circuit and make use of the
other pins as needed, IF it has full wiring for all pins.

In other news, death to my Omni 6+, as it just came back from the factory
un-fixable. Brain dead. Can use the filters in the Corsair II, that I
put the
DDS Vfo into. It was a great rig.

Learning more about the Eagle and I like it very much. Worked two new
DX countries last night, and plan to work the S.C. party today, perhaps
the Scandinavian Contest if bands are decent.

Thanks again for all the help,
