I'd start by carefully reseating all of the connectors on the PC boards.
That may cure some of the problems. The Paragon II is usually much more
trouble free compared to the earlier Paragon.  Mine has been relatively
problem free--but  my two Omni VI rigs get the most use.

LSB:  I'd double check the BFO frequency, and also the bandpass tuning
alignment.
