Allan,

Just to make sure - remember that the switch is in series with the front panel 
switch on the rig. The push on - push off type switches used in the older 
rigs (Tritons, early Omnis, Delta, Argosys, and Corsairs) were prone to 
failure. You might check that and also the cable connections first.
