Hi Steve. I'm wondering if it might be RF feedback or something else on the
audio-in line.
Do you have an RF watt meter in your feedline? And if so, was it showing output
even when you weren't talking into the mic?
I saw a similar thing once on my Omni 6 Plus.
Turned out I had left my sound card line-out cable plugged into the audio-in on
the rig after a RTTY contest.

I fired up my Corsair II to check into the Ten Tec nets today. It
receives fine, but when I tried to transmit on SSB, the ALC light lit up
solidly, and it took backing way down on the drive level to make it
stop. I haven't used it much this summer, but I had it on for about 5
hours before the net times. Luckily, I was able to check in on the 20
meter net with my Argo VI barefoot.

This is a new problem with the radio, so where might I start looking?
