You are welcome Steve. I also have an Omni VII, which is my primary radio. It 
did take a learning period to get comfortable with it... and it too needs to be 
used to avoid corrosion in the encoders.  My Corsair-II, which I bought new at 
the end of production,  will be kept as backup and special usage.  I'd run the 
Corsair-II as primary if it had CAT control for station automation.

Thanks for the tip, Gary!

Now it seems to be working okay.

I was mostly on 6 and 2 meters for the past several months, and the
Corsair II sat idle.  I really need to use it more.  I had an Omni VII
for a while, and could not get used to it.  Then, there was the trauma
of buying a much more recent cell phone...
