Have you done all 3 resets to the Orion?

1) Power off Orion.

2) Power On holding the VFO B LCK button.

3) Continue holding LCK button until the radio says "Battery Failure".

4) Power off Orion.

5) Power on holding "Main RX/TX" button.

6) Continue holding this button until the radio says reset complete.

7) Do not clear any settings when asked to do so.

8) Power the Orion off and back on one more time.

ran across something that seems to be affecting the sub receiver in my Orion 1.

If I boot the rig after I turn on its power supply, the sub receiver kicks in
normally.

If I reboot the rig after leaving it connected to its power supply, which has
been left on, the sub receiver will not kick in.

If I leave the onions on/off switch in on position and use the power supply’s
on/off switch to turn the rig on and off, the sub receiver performs normally.

Orion has fresh memory battery and power distribution board cap replacements.

Also, the display wants to get a bit dim after the rig has run for an half hour or
so…and I notice it gets a little warm. Thinking of pulling the speaker and
installing a 12 vdc fan in its stead to see if that has any effect.
