On the Astron 50 power supply, blowing of fuse may indicated bad MOV's on input AC line; temporarily cut one leg of each one, and test fuse surviving after power up.

Or, it could be one or more diodes in bridge rectifiers. I think the 50 model is the one that uses half a bridge as a full wave rectifier, so it may be confusing first time you examine such a circuit.


Finally blowing line fuses could be a pass transistor failure or output capacitor failures.
