For carrier null, you also need to adjust R11 on the 80449 SSB Generator
board (step 12 on p3-41), as well as R14 on 80713 TX Mixer board (p3-43).

It would be prudent to first adjust the carrier oscillators (p3-40 and
p3-41).  If the carrier oscillators are not accurately aligned, carrier
null will be impaired further.

I suspect it's very possible that there was a change to the board that
would explain what you're seeing.
