I have used Cliff couple of times over past 7-8 years. He worked on my
TS-850AT, came back to me better than when I bought new from Kenwood in 1994.
He went thru the whole radio and aligned/tuned. just a super job.

My 850 has begun to show same signs as your’s. Display will come on when first
turn radio on then goes away. From what I understand the main source causing
that problem lies with leaky capacitors on one of the boards. They begin to
erode the etching causing an open, if left unfixed.

Plan on sending mine over to Cliff soon also.
