Sounds like you may have a form of the "rusty bolt" problem. This is
caused by a bad connection in some conductors (not necessarily
connected with your station). The conductors pick up radiated energy
and the bad connections create non-linearities which cause the mixing
that generates "new" frequencies (in actuality intermodulation and
cross modulation products). The same conductors then radiate these
non-linear mixing products. Hopefully these signals are strong enough
to let you pick them up on a portable receiver. Then, using DF
techniques or just by wandering around , you should be able to work
out the location of the source. If this proves to be the source of
your problem, then the repair would be to eliminate the non-linearity
either by insulating the problematical conductors from each other or
by making a reliable bonded connection that shorts them together.
Perhaps you can just eliminate them by removing them altogether. Good
