Amen to Chris's comments.
I guess probably 70% of the stations I work at my sunrise, averaging about 4
guys on a mediocre day, are not first timers. Even between these calls
nobody else is audible - as Chris says, because of those CuNims in the
tropics. I have listened to 3DA0CA on many occasions, and his pattern is
very similar to mine.
Personally I am glad of the repeat calls I receive from guys like K1ZM,
VE1ZZ, W4ZV, and many others, firstly just to say "hi there", and secondly
to let me know what propagation is like. If no-one called I would think
there was no propagation. Like Chris, I don't believe these quick QSO's are
robbing anyone of their first ZS.
