Bill, et al: The first issue is impedance of the inverted L on 160. The impedance will be about 15 - 20 ohms on 160 with the top connected. The second issue is voltage on 80. Make sure you have a good space on the vacuum relay, as it is a High Voltage point on 80 meters. Another solution is a trap on top. No switching on top, just on the bottom to get from 36 ohms plus ground loss down to the 160 meter impedance. Good luck George K8GG |
