Topband: Using wires from large trees as verticals?

Hi,

I am new to the topband, just moved to a new place with 120+ feet fir trees. I 
would like to experiment with vertical radiators (single, multiple, phased, 
etc.).  I am looking for resources to learn about this and get started. Any 
websites/documents/books you can recommend?  Is it possible to make a wire 
hanging from a tree work just like the titanex vertical?
