you get a stronger driven element set-up and a rotatable 40m dipole. this
is not a bad set-up if you can get it up 65 ft or so (1/2 wavelength) and
have a limited tower loading situation. i have used the a3 with much
enjoyment and have used the a3+ at other qth's with success. if you have
the aforementioned limitations and the funds, go for it.
