Rcv'd many comments about the snake, some follow:
"I had no luck with a snake antenna."
"Yes, that antenna does work, but you have to be careful because some
lengths will show you the same thing at the receiver that is at the end
of the snake, and you will end up with a resistor right across your
receiver terminals."
"You might look at John Develdore's book Low Band DX'ng. He talks about the
"snake" and pretty much says it is useless." Found comments on pg. 7-29.
W1FB wrote abt this in QST and in his antenna book. There is no magic. It is
a lossy rx antenna. If'n u are looking for an rx antenna, check out the ewe
by wa2wvl and in latest QST by k9ay.
So I will no longer spend time on this antenna!!
