Richard,
One major reason I went self-supporting crankup was so
I would not have guy wires in the back yard. hence a marketing
issue. Also I could place it closer to the property line
since it did not require guys
at the back (10.00001 feet) this allows plenty of space to tilt
it over and work on antennas - it also assures me that even if it
tilts over when undesired, a house does not get speared.
