The reflector configuration has greater swr and f/b bandwidth. The feed
point impedance is higher than in the director configuration resulting in a
more effecient design.It is possible to split the driven element and feed
directly with 50 ohm coax with swr less than 2 over a considerable
bandwidth. I have used a 40m home built yagi based on these principles for
