I wrote a little BASIC program that takes beam headings from the CT
countries file and figures out how many countries lie at each 5-degree
interval. I considered that data from the DXing point of view, and
considered relative population density from the contesting point of view. As
a result, I oriented my 40M 4-square at 55, 145, 235 and 325 degrees (from
central western NH.)
