Hi Joe,

When I went from four elevated radials to a "real" ground system in two
separate tests, FS picked up about 5 dB.

When WVNJ radio went from six elevated radials to 100 radials, they picked
up 4 - 7 dB (in different directions).

I've heard of several A-B tests between the two systems, and in every case
it was reported the elevated systems are about 5 dB down.

Of course this doesn't mean elevated radials will never work, it just means
you are taking a chance with an unknown system. Don't let anyone tell you
base resistance proves a thing about FS, because I could get 30+ ohms of
base resistance with a loaded elevated system and STILL had very poor
efficiency.
