Hi Jim.
That's been done.  In fact it was written up in CQ magazine.  I forgot
who wrote the article, but he wired up a tree to look like the cage
vertical that N7DF used to have.  He said it worked great.
It used 4 50 foot wires going straight up the tree, hooked together at
the top and bottom.  Then 4 65 foot wires, hooked to the top and bottom,
with the slack pulled out taught.  A top hat was laid among the limbs
for tuning.   73
