Scott: WEll I scampered up the tower shortly after sending the email...
guess my dislike for tower work in poor weather, coming tomorrow, versus
being tired, won out. Took about 15 minutes to realign the booms
parallel. Tested the SWR on the XM240 and it was much better (1.5 at
7.000, 1.1 at 7.100 and 2.0 at 7.225) on the ft1000 in the shack. It did
impact on my TH7 on 15 metres as expected raising it to about 1.5 almost
across the band. Think I will leave it there for now and see how it
works out on 15 for a while. No change on 20 from the perpendicular
setting of booms whereas 10 metres looks a lot like what would normally
be expected. I have never had the TH7 up alone since either this one or
the 402ba have been above it from the start so can't tell the overall
impact on the th7 antenna.
