I see Rohn models Rohn 25 and 45 with 3/16" and 1/4" guy cable.

 My plans.....

100' Rohn 45 with 4 element KLM 40 using 4 sets of guys
100' Rohn 25 with 4 element 30 fullsize using 4 sets of guys
100' Rohn 25 with 2 element 10-20 quad using 4 sets of guys

 Is 3/16" ok or should I use 1/4" ? >>

The first thing you need to do is to determine what the windspeed rating
for your county is. Go to http://www.championradio.com and look it up. In your
case, Lewanee County, MI, is a 75 MPH windspeed zone.

Next, get the Rohn catalog and look up the tower and the appropriate
height for the windspeed. (Hint: the Rohn catalog is available at the same web
site.)

This will tell you what the proper guy wire size is. You can use
slightly bigger guy wire (1/4 instead of 3/16) but you'll never go wrong by
observing the LXC Prime Directive: "DO what the manufacturer says".

Another hint: be sure to tension it correctly.

A WEALTH of information on this and other topics is in the TowerTalk
archives at www.contesting.com.

Be sure you use EHS (extra high strength) cable (see LXC Prime
Directive above).
