Henry,

You can download the program YTAD from the ARRL fileserver,
or oak.oakland.edu, and it will help you answer all of these
questions. You can superimpose plots of the stack right over
the plot of just
one yagi alone. It's a great tool for helping you to decide
how to spend money on antenna improvements, both in flat and
hilly terrain. It's also a lot of fun to play with.

There is an updated version (YT?), that comes with recent
editions of the ARRL Antenna Handbook.
