Hi Carl!

I won't have a drawing, but I do have a story and some
pix. I posted a website documenting my tower project,
including the rebar cage. Check the cage out at
http://www.qsl.net/n8wrl/baseprep.htm.

Basically, I needed a 5' cube for a cage. What I did
was get about 20 10' lengths of rebar. I bent ten of
them 90 degrees. If you visualize the box from the top,
two 90 degree rebar sections make a square. I wire-tied
them together at the corners. I cut the rest of the
rebar into 5' lenghts. At the corners of the squares,
I tied them to four of the 5' lengths vertically so
that it formed a box. I also rotated the squares so
that no corner had all bends, or all joints, etc.
The thing was pretty wobbly, but I leaned it against
some temporary fencing I was using around the site.
With the box roughly in shape, I 'threaded' the rest
of the 5' lengths thru the horizontal rebar on the
sides of the cube. With help I lowered the whole thing
into the hole and used wire to shore up the sides so
none of the rebar touched the dirt.

Kind of hard to explain, but maybe with the picture
it will make more sense. Feel free to email any more
questions!
