Not really new products but new to many hams along with proper
weatherproofing techniques.
Apply two wraps of Scotch 33 or 88 electrical tape over the joint. Cover
with vapor wrap. Apply 2-3 more layers of electrical tape. Apply Liquid
Electrial Tape over the joint. Voila - bombproof joint.
Champion Radio Products carries the tape and vapor wrap. LET is
available in many hardware stores.
