My understanding is that you cannot properly use the desgination RG (which stands for Regulation Guideline) on any coaxial cable that does not have a copper shield ... thus you see those with aluminum constructions begging the issue with "Type RGxxxx" and similiar designations ... and so some/many? miss the "type" and see only RG ????
