Hi,
I also have a Ham IV in a black plastic box that melts around the lamp area
:>). Since my lamp burned out, over a year ago, I now don't use any, plenty
of light in my shack to see the needle position. Has the three 'hold-down'
lever switches and a built-in brake release.
