I think I bought Squibb's mineral oil but this was 25 years ago.  It's 
generic.  Mineral oil is mineral oil, and it will dissipate heat.   No, it 
will not take 1,500 watts key down for a half hour but  will your 
amplifier  permit you to do that?

Dummy loads are useful for tuning  amps or a tube transmitters. Many people 
don't use them and tune up on dxpeditions' transmitting frequencies, 14230 
or 14247.  Common sense and the FCC prefer dummy loads.
