For which application?  Most modern rigs are covered up in DIN connectors;
the accessory connectors, cpu interface connectors, etc., etc. are all in
the DIN family.  Hams do have dozens of them... some just may not realize
they are "DIN" standard connectors.

DIN is a entire family of connectors... hundreds of different sizes,
configurations, etc., etc.  and DIN stands for: Deutsches Institut für
Normung e.V (Translated: German Institute for Standardization e.V). Together
with its subsidiaries, the institute is dedicated to providing the whole
range of services that support the development, distribution, and
application of standards for connectors, interfaces, and a whole host of
other components.
