The one I have was made out of painted sheet metal by "Lambda Vector Corp." it
has a half dozen rubber grometted holes for coax, rotor cable, etc. pass
through. I had a ham friend about 10 years ago who was a woodworker take the
thing and cut out and finish a board that would just fit in one of the windows
in the shack, right next to the radio desk. He stuffed insulation between the
two halves of it and used several coats of varnish to weatherproof it, but it
still gets drafty at times even though I took rubber stoppers and plugged the
unused holes inside the house and outside. I'm sure there are other companies
who made similar products.
