After telling me (verbally) that a building permit for my tower would
(finally) be granted "within about 4 days" - and after waiting for over
a month - I received the following (an excerpt) from the City of Poway:

1) Provide a statement on the Title Sheet of the plans stating that this
project shall comply with the 2001 edition of the California Building
Code (Title 24), which adopts the 1997 UBC, 2000 UMC, 2000 UPC and the
1999 NEC.

2) Plans, specifications and calculations shall be signed and sealed by
the California state licensed engineer or architect responsible for
their preparation, for plans deviating from conventional wood frame
construction. Specify expiration date of license. (California Business
and Professions Code).

3) Provide calculations for main vertical and footings. Section 106.3.3.

4) Provide calculations for lateral loads.

It would be helpful if the referenced California Building Code were
available on-line. A Google search did not turn up a copy of the
document.

Can anyone give me a hand in my continuing dialog with the City of Poway
(anti-ham capital of the USA) that has now stonewalled my attempt to get
back on the air for 17 months?

73,

Bob, K9RHY
