If one were to wind a solenoid choke balun for an 80 meter horizontal
dipole, how many turns of RG8X would you recommend?
I need it to be as light as possible as this antenna will have no center
support. Would one be better off to wind it on a toroidal core?
I have searched the archives to no avail.



BTW I don't seem to be able to find the dipole balun on the DX engineering
site any more.
Tom, any idea what the story is?
