I have been thinking of adding a 2 element tribander at the top of the
second
section of my 70' crankup tower. This would be at approximately 39 feet.
I have read of the difficulties presented by the coax and control lines
going
to the upper antenna because of interfering with rotating the lower antenna.
One actually removed the lower antenna from the tower.

However, it occurs to me that the 2 element Steppir could be used by
only rotating it 180 degrees or so and using its reversible direction
capability to cover the other 180 degrees. This would allow the lines
from the upper tower to come down on the "back" side of the tower
where the lower antenna would not be rotated.

I would appreciate comments, especially if anyone has designed a bracket
to fit a crankup that doesn't interfere with the cranking capability.

thanks
