My 4 ele SteppIR regularly slips on the mast, and I have
to recalibrate the AlfaSpid. It has probably made at least
a half dozen complete revolutions in 4 years. I tried retightening
the clamps and it had no effect. My observation is that the clamping
force is plateau'ed due to the mast/boom plate bending and/or
the U bolts stretching (or the mast flattening). I have an aluminum mast,
FWIW. I intend to eventually install a Slipp-Nott.
