Agreed.  Some cheap rotator cables will eventually harden, but I've seen 
even that stuff last 30 plus years. I'd think LMR-400 would be better 
off being taped or strapped to a tower leg every few feet.  You 
certainly don't want it hanging by the connectors and 110 feet is a lot 
of load for one of the cable hangers.

I run all mine through PVC underground to the tower for convenience, 
then to a grounding bulkhead at the base and another at the top, but 
they are tapped to the inside of the tower legs about every 3 feet going up.
