Worse... if it's in water, the 60,000 pounds only weighs about 25,000 
pounds.   It's the difference between standing on a log laying on the 
ground and a log floating in a lake (well.. not that bad, but you get 
the idea)

  Still has inertia, though, for seismic resistance.  And bulk 
hydrodynamic drag.
