I use similar boxes and swear by them. The first time I used the plastic
NEMA rated boxes I checked them after the first couple of good rains and was
satisfied. Whenever I crack them open the equipment is in the same shape as
the day or year I closed it up. Using anything else would be constant trips
to "make sure" all is well and I'd still have worry on my mind when the wind
blew or the rain fell. Piece of mind is well worth the extra few bucks.

The boxes from Lowes, gray electrical boxes, have been out in 10
Pennsylvania winters, in full sun and some in the woods. If you keep the
rubber seals in good shape, they will last another 10.
