Hi Rob
I use some bungee cords here at the bottom of my verticals. They are rubber
with a cloth coating on the outside. The cloth deterioritated and it gone,
but the rubber cords are still there and working. Been there a couple of
years. The coating disappeared in about 6 months. 73
