Yes I use them for key rings, I think there is a warning about them not 
being actually used for climbing,

How would you like to hook your belt around that tower and lean back and 
look at those?! The heart attack would kill me long before the fall, no 
wonder they use a bucket. Thatsa lot of antenna to be held up by a key ring.
