There's 7X19 and then there's 7 X 19, and then there's 7 X 19...etc.
I've said it before and I know there will be those who disagree, but to 
me, buying wire rope at a hardware store for tower cables is like buying 
your guy wire at Radio Shack, but at least it'll  come with a tag 
listing the strength.
The Galvanized 7 X 19 (3/16") sold by hardware stores varies widely in 
strength. Read the labels carefully before using as some of those labels 
bring a surprise.
Some of that stuff is not very strong at all.
