Buy several of those foam noodle toys that are about 4 inches round and 5
feet long.  You'll find them in the toy section or pool section of Wally
World.  They come in a variety of vivid colors and have a slit usually down
one whole side.

The slit will allow you to slip them over the guy wire.  Apply a few wraps
of silver tape to give them closure.  Push the first one up the wire and add
a second, third or however many you may need in the same fashion.

I've used this method quite a bit.  They do deteriorate from UV rays, but
mine have lasted for almost two years.  Cost is minimal, so replacement cost
isn't much.

The yellow ones almost glow in the dark.

You're probably going to get a lot of interesting ideas on this Dick.

Here's mine.  You can get ping pong balls in different colors.  Slot them
half way thru and slide them on the guy wires at your preferred spacing.
