Dick,

I've used left over PEX radiant heating tubing to make guys visible.
Still there with good color retention after 7 years in the CA sun even
though PEX is not particularly UV resistant. It comes in many colors
including orange and red. I slipped it on before the guys were tied
off. Available at Home Depot in rolls or stop by for some red leftovers
I have from my shop project. HVAC contractors throw away lengths under
about 50' since it shouldn't be spliced when installed.

When warmed I think it could be slit with a box cutter and it is pretty
flexible in the 3/8 and 1/2" sizes. All of my new plumbing and
compressed air lines are PEX, copper prices are absurd and the PEX crimp
fittings are a joy.
